Givin' you what you want!

Presenting Lilia Mercy McCallister
Born April 6th, 2009 8lbs 6oz  11:30pm

She was born at home. Mom is doing great. Baby girl is doing great. The boys are doing great.

Here is the short story:
Candace was feeling non-painful contractions for weeks. We knew something was changing the morning of the 6th. Josh came home from work mid-day to be support. Our doula came, the midwives came. We were in and out of the water-birth tub.

Candace was a champ, strong and ready. She faced labor with no drugs. Jedidiah went to a family in the community where he stayed the night. Josh was present for the whole birth process.

This morning Jedi got to meet his baby sister. The picture says it all.

Dad and the big bother took a celebration trip to McDonalds for his first happy meal and an ice-cream cone.

Candace, Josh and Jedidiah,

CONGRATULATIONS on the arrival of your beautiful little girl into your living and breathing world! She is a beauty. Her picture has been passed endlessly among Kingswood folks, and everyone is proud as punch. You go, Candace, for being such a natural, brave and strong Momma! I'm proud of you, and so happy for you three.

We send our deepest love, joy and happines for all of you.
