Kidney

     I have written before about how much I love our church here. Well last Sunday was another great day for Reba. A friend and neighbor who has been here for several decades decided to donate one kidney to his favorite grocery store cashier. We celebrated this gift during the collection of the offering, and prayed over both the donor and recipient. He went in for surgery on Friday morning. Saturday, the Chicago Tribune put it on the front page, and I saw him walking down our street with his wife last night as I was coming home from work. He’s my hero for the day.
